Baylor To Break Ground On Bear Habitat Complex

Baylor University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat Complex at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the Bear Plaza across from the Bill Daniel Student Center on M.P. Daniel Esplanade. A reception will follow immediately in The Den on the first floor of the student center.
Participating in the groundbreaking will be the Williams family of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr.; Betsy B. Willis, senior lecturer in accounting and faculty adviser for the Baylor Chamber of Commerce; Robert L. Reid, emeritus professor of history and longtime Chamber adviser; Charles Lucenay, a senior from Dallas and bear trainer; and Cathy Pleitz, director of special projects and the Baylor/Waco Foundation.
Parking in the Fifth Street garage is limited. Guests and any faculty, staff members or students coming from off-campus are encouraged to use the Baylor shuttle service, which will run on its usual routes. A schedule can be found here: https://www.baylor.edu/bus/.
