WACO, Texas (April 9, 2021) – Baylor University will host Alumni Week April 12-17, providing numerous opportunities for Baylor Alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and fellow Baylor graduates from across the country and support their University.

A one-time registration provides access to live-streamed virtual events as well as on-demand content throughout the entire week. Featured events include an update for Baylor Alumni from President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., inspiring faculty lecture sessions and two unique opportunities with notable alumni, Disney Executive Stephanie Young, BBA '86, and Texas Rangers Baseball Club CFO Kellie Fischer, BBA '95, as well as class reunions and a celebration of Baylor Alumni Award recipients and the newest class of Baylor Alumni By Choice.

Proceeds from Alumni Week will support the President's Excellence Fund, which provides emergency funds for student success, equips students with technology for hybrid learning and invests in mental health services.

“We value our alumni and their connections to Baylor University,” said Amy Armstrong, associate vice president of alumni engagement. “Alumni Week is our opportunity to reach out and connect with even more of Baylor’s alumni, to show them the good work going on at their alma mater and within the departments and academic units they called home during their time here. We want Alumni Week to be a time of connecting with their Baylor roots, and we hope that whether they come to learn something new, see a favorite professor or catch a performance or brush up on a topical lecture, they will renew that connection with Baylor and with our Baylor Family.”

In addition to the events, Baylor will hold its third annual Baylor Giving Day on Wednesday, April 14. Baylor Giving Day is a university-wide, 24-hour fundraising event that begins at midnight CST April 14 and runs until 11:59 p.m. Similar to focused giving days around the country, Baylor Giving Day provides alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and students an opportunity to be a part of Baylor’s future and impact existing and new programs, student scholarships and priority funds across the University. Last year, more than 2,750 donors gave to the University on Baylor Giving Day.
