Baylor Employee Named to Information Resources Board

March 19, 1998

The Association for Managing and Using Information Resources recently elected Becky King, associate director for information systems at Baylor University, to a three-year board-of-directors term.
This organization, commonly known as CAUSE, began as the College And University Systems Exchange, but changed its name to better describe the group's purpose while keeping its recognizable title.
The association provides information and professional development in the use of information technology resources for educators and administrators in higher education. More than 1,600 institutions belong to the organization, which hosts seminars and an annual conference.
Dr. Donald Hardcastle, director of the Information Technology Center at Baylor, said active participation in information resource groups has prepared King for her service in CAUSE, which is recognized internationally as a leading information technology association.
"Becky is nationally recognized as an information technology professional," Hardcastle said. "She has held leadership positions and served on numerous technology boards."
