Television And Broadway Performer At Baylor Oct. 26-27

Singer/actress Karen Morrow, a musical theater and television performer, will be on the Baylor University campus for a set of four Lyceum Series appearances Oct. 26-27.
At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Morrow will take part in a question-and-answer session in the ShowTime! Room (205-C) of Waco Hall East. From 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in Roxy Grove Hall, she will present a master class for School of Music vocal students.
On Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m., there will be a luncheon/performance with Morrow and students from the vocal division in the Bill Daniel Student Center's Barfield Drawing Room. Later that afternoon, she will conduct a workshop in the ShowTime! Room from 4 to 6 p.m.
Morrow was raised by operatic parents in Des Moines, Iowa, and turned to "the theatre" in Milwaukee, Wisc., as well as major musical theater, cabaret and concert halls from New York to Honolulu. In New York City, she starred on Broadway in I Had a Ball; Joyful Noise; I'm Solomon; Music, Music; The Selling of the President; The Grass Harp; and the Tony Award-winning Drood. Off Broadway, her starring roles included Sing Muse; The Boys from Syracuse; five seasons with the New York City Center during its golden years of musical revivals; and, most recently, in the national tour of Show Boat.
On television, Morrow starred as a regular on "The Jim Nabors Hour," "Friends," "Tabitha," "Ladies' Man," "Goodnight Beantown," "Song by Song," "Singing" and "Great Performances." She has been a guest star on such shows as "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," "The Tonight Show," "The Today Show," "Alice," "Too Close For Comfort," "Loveboat," "Falconcrest," "Murder She Wrote" and "Night Court."
