Baylor University Women's Council Plans Lubbock-Area Event

The Baylor University Women's Council of the Lubbock-Area will host a dessert reception and brief organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Mary Kay Events Center, 4420 Sixth St. in Lubbock.
The event will feature guest speaker Sheri Sowder, a 1984 Baylor graduate and wife of Lubbock District Attorney William C. Sowder, a 1984 Baylor Law graduate.
Sheri Sowder will speak on "Light the Ways of Time," sharing her memories as a Baylor student, as well her new experiences as a Baylor Mom. The Sowder's daughter, Shannan, is a freshman at Baylor. They also have a son, Andrew, 16, and daughter, Paige, 10.
