WACO, Texas (Nov. 29, 2018) – This week, Baylor will host a variety of concerts, recitals and performances to celebrate the upcoming Christmas season.

SUNDAY, Dec. 2

A Baylor Christmas - The combined choirs of Baylor University and the Symphony Orchestra will perform the annual “A Baylor Christmas” concert celebrating the Christmas season from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building, 101 Baylor Ave. The always popular event is sold out. Carillon Recital - Lynnette Geary, University Carillonneur and assistant to the dean in Baylor College of Arts & Sciences, will perform in recital on the McLane Carillon at 5 p.m. from the tower of Pat Neff Hall, 1320 S. MONDAY, Dec. 3

Chamber Christmas Concert - The Chamber Singers will perform its annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. in the McClean Foyer of Meditation in Armstrong Browning Library, 710 Speight Ave. General admission is $15, and tickets are available in the lobby of the Glennis McCrary Music Building, 101 Baylor Ave., during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the School of Music website or call 254-710-3571.

TUESDAY, Dec. 4

Texas Tribune Community Conversation - The Texas Tribune will host “A Conversation with Reps. Doc Anderson and Kyle Kacal” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Baylor Club in Baylor University’s McLane Stadium, 1001 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. State Representatives, Charles “Doc” Anderson of Waco and Kyle Kacal of College Station, will have a conversation with Evan Smith, Texas Tribune co-founder and CEO, regarding various issues and the upcoming 2019 legislative session. Cabearet - Students from Baylor’s Musical Theatre Workshop will perform in Cabearet, a musical revue performance to benefit the Leta Horan and Jerry MacLauchlin Endowed Scholarship for Musical Theatre. The performance will start at 7:30 p.m. in Theater 11 of the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center, 60 Baylor Ave. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m. for general admission seating. SATURDAY, Dec. 8

Christmas Closures - Residence halls will close at noon on Dec. 12 and reopen Jan. 10. Administrative offices close Dec. 24 and will resume normal business hours Jan. 2.
