Professor to Speak About Immigration Problem in Italy Dec. 4

Dr. Julie Kisacky, lecturer in Italian at Baylor University, will address the Council for International Education at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in Room 201 of the W.R. Poage Legislative Library Center.
Kisacky will discuss the controversial problems caused by illegal immigration. Many people are migrating to Italy primarily because of political troubles in their countries.
"There is a lot of concern over the increased amount of crime caused by the illegal immigrants," Kisacky said.
She will also present a slide show of Italy's beautiful countryside and will discuss why people like to visit or move there.
Kisacky is one of 10 Baylor professors who have spoken this semester as part of the Council for International Education's lecture series titled "All The News That's Fit To Discuss." The series began in 1995 and is a weekly session which features faculty members who discuss issues with which they have experience.
