High School Musicians to Perform at Chapel-Forum Oct. 8

Mariachi Cultural, a Waco high school musical group, will perform at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Baylor University during Chapel-Forum in Waco Hall.
The group is comprised of students from University High School. The 25 members, ranging from freshmen to seniors, play instruments and sing. "The group has been a real success," said the school's band director, Robert E. Lee, Jr.
The group performed Sept. 7 on Univision, an international television network which is broadcast in South America, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the United States.
Jose A. Nino, director of the group, is a Baylor senior pursuing his bachelor of music education degree.
