"Central Texas, Baylor, and the Big-12: Together We Can" a special one-hour program discussing the interwoven relationship between the three, will air from 9-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, on KCTF public television station.
KCTF donated the one-hour of air-time for Baylor's use during Parents Weekend. "The program is not just about athletics," said John Morris, director of broadcasting in athletics. "We want to update Central Texas and Baylor parents on Baylor and the Big-12."
The program will feature Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. and Tom Stanton, director of athletics. Darryl Lehnus, associate director for sales and marketing, will discuss the BUILD program (Bears United in Life Development), and Dr. Thomas M. Kelly, professor of economics, will speak on the economic impact of the Big-12.
In addition, Larry Jaynes, co-chair of the Big-12 Task Force, Baylor basketball player Brian Skinner and Carter Harrison-Jackson, executive director of Habitat for Humanity, will also appear.
