WACO, Texas (Nov. 17, 2017) – This week, Baylor University will host an environmental event, a variety of concerts and a screening of a local Waco documentary.

SUNDAY, Nov. 19

Mayborn Museum: All About Water − Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum will host “All About Water: Ecology and Science on the Brazos” on from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Students with Baylor University’s Social Innovative Collaborative “Healthy River, Healthy Community” will assist attendees as they explore the backyard ecosystem in the Brazos River through a variety of hands-on activities and lessons. Those who participate in four river-related activities and complete their punch card, will be entered in a drawing for a prize from the museum store. Admission is free for members and Baylor University students. Regular admission prices are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $6 for children. Mayborn Museum is located at 1300 S. Jazz Combos − Baylor School of Music will present its Jazz Combos concert performance at 6 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall in McCrary Music Building, 110 Baylor Ave. Alex Parker, continuing lecturer in jazz studies at Baylor, will lead members of the Baylor’s jazz program in their concert performance. MONDAY, Nov. 20

Chapel Highlights − Pastor Emmanuel Roldan, former resident chaplain at Baylor University, will speak during Chapel services at 9:05, 10:10 and 11:15 a.m. in Waco Hall, 624 Speight Ave. Roldan serves as the pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Waco and will speak on his role as a leader in this vibrant community. Movie Mondays at the Hippodrome − Baylor Student Activities and the Waco Hippodrome present “What About Waco,” a four-part documentary written and directed by award-winning film maker Chris Scott, in the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. The first screening will take place at 4:30 p.m., followed by a reception at 7 p.m. and a second screening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free but must be picked up in advance. Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble − The School of Music will host a concert of winds, brass and percussion at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building, 110 Baylor Ave. Isaiah Odajima, Ph.D., associate director of bands and associate professor of ensembles, and J. Eric Wilson, Ph.D., professor of ensembles and conducting and director of bands, will conduct the performance. This event is free and open to the public.
