Dr. Reagan M. Ramsower of Baylor University has been named Editor-in-Chief of ISWorld, the major publication of the Association of Information Systems (AIS).
Ramsower, who serves as professor of information systems and associate dean for teaching and administrative systems at the Hankamer School of Business, has been a member of the Baylor faculty since 1976.
He said his appointment to the two-year term at ISWorld underscores the business school's international reputation as a major presence and player in the field of information systems.
Ramsower said the AIS represents and serves information systems professors and educators worldwide. "This will be a significant task but hopefully one that will increase Baylor's recognition as a leader in the IS field. I will be relying heavily upon my colleagues here at Baylor as well as a host of over 300 volunteers worldwide to move this publication forward," Ramsower said.
Announcing the appointment, which is effective Jan. 1, 1998, AIS President Ron Weber said, "I believe Reagan Ramsower will be an outstanding Editor-in-Chief of ISWorld, and I look forward to the developments and innovations that I am sure will be forthcoming under his leadership."
