Sloan to Speak at Chapel-Forum Sept. 10

Baylor University President Robert B. Sloan, Jr. will speak at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Waco Hall during Chapel-Forum.
Sloan completed a bachelor of arts degree at Baylor and a received a master of divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. He also studied at the University of Basel, Switzerland where he earned a Doktor der Theologie.
He joined the Department of Religion faculty in 1983 and was appointed the first dean of George W. Truett Seminary in 1993. In 1995, he became Baylor's 12th president.
Sloan is a member of the Institute for Biblical Research and the Society of Biblical Literature. He has published two books and more than 50 articles.
