Guinn Receives 'Moon' Mullins Award

September 4, 1997

David Guinn, the Louise L. Morrison Professor of Constitutional Law and Master Teacher at Baylor University, has been named to The Norman "Moon" Mullins Distinguished Honor Roll for Faculty and Staff.
The award was created in honor of the late Moon Mullins. Mullins was a 1952 Baylor graduate who served on the Baylor development staff from 1981-84 and as executive director of the Baylor Bear Club from 1984-87. The award represents leadership, devotion, and a love for Baylor athletics, all demonstrated by Moon.
Each year a faculty or staff member who demonstrates these qualities is presented the award. The honoree has to be a current member of the Baylor Bear Foundation, serve on the faculty or staff and be dedicated to educating student-athletes.
Besides demonstrating commitment to family, friends and colleagues, honorees are devoted to church activities and support Baylor's motto..."Excellence, a Tradition, a Practice, a Promise."
Past honorees include Robert Denton, Claude Ervin, Betty Ruth Baker, Robert Packard, Leslie Rasner, Jerry Johnson, Tommye Lou Davis, Don Riley and Don Edwards.
