September 3, 1997

WACO, Texas - Dodie Jackson, former assistant to the dean at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary, has been named assistant director for the Center for Ministry Effectiveness at Baylor University.
A 1989 graduate of Baylor, Jackson worked as a department coordinator in the Department of Religion until 1993.
The center was established earlier this year but has just moved into new offices in Pat Neff Hall. According to Jackson, the department will focus on "helping ministers minister more effectively." The center will develop programs designed specifically for Christian ministers.
Jackson is assistant to Dr. Winfred Moore, the center's director. "I'm excited about the challenge and the opportunity at hand," said Jackson.
