National Teen-Ager Scholarship Program to Award More Than $100,000

WACO, Texas - Baylor University will host the 26th annual America's National Teen-Ager Scholarship program June 13-15.
Ten universities will hold a college fair and interview 65 high school sophomore and junior girls. More than $100,000 in scholarships will be awarded to 25 students. The top two award winners will travel to Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., and will compete against two girls from each state.
The winners will be selected based on their grade-point average, leadership, interview and overall appearance.
The girls will arrive at Collins Residence Hall at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 13, and will stay in Collins for the duration of the event. Judging will take place on Friday and Saturday in the Bobo Baptist Student Center and Waco Hall. The girls must present either an essay or enter a talent competition.
The main awards presentation will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, in Waco Hall. The event is open to the public.
Admission is $10 for ages 13 and older, $5 for children 12 and under and is free for the parents of the participants and children under age 3.
The America's National Teen-Ager Scholarship Program is a non-profit organization that has awarded $100 million in scholarships.
