WACO, Texas (Nov. 18, 2016) – This week, Baylor University will host several notable events, including a concert led by internationally acclaimed conductor H. Robert Reynolds and a movie night at McLane Stadium.
Thanksgiving Break is from Wednesday, Nov. 23, to Friday, Nov. 25. No classes will be held, and administrative offices will be closed. The McLane Student Life Center will be closed. The libraries will remain open until 5 p.m. Wednesday and will be closed Thursday through Saturday. Residence halls will remain open with limited front desk services and dining hours.
MONDAY, Nov. 21
Chapel Highlights – Tim McKenzie, president and founder of nonprofit ministry On Every Word, will speak in Chapel at 9:05, 10:10 and 11:15 a.m. On Every Word seeks to inspire the love, value and practice of abiding in God’s word both by example and instruction. Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble Concert – The Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building, 110 Baylor Ave. The concert is part of the Lyceum Series in the School of Music and will be conducted by H. Robert Reynolds, principal conductor of the Wind Ensemble at the University of South California’s Thornton School of Music. This event is free and open to the public.
TUESDAY, Nov. 22
Baylor/Waco Foundation Movie Night – The Baylor/Waco Foundation will host a showing of The Polar Express at 5:30 p.m. at McLane Stadium, 1001 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Food trucks will be onsite, including Dave's Burger Barn, Vitek’s BBQ and Pokey O’s. Click here for more information.
