Baylor Keyboard Institute Camp to Begin June 1

The annual Keyboard Institute for students entering grades 8-12 in the fall will be held June 1-7 at Baylor University.
The students will receive a series of private keyboard lessons, attend lecture and music theory classes and practice in supervised practice times. Students also will be given the chance to choose an elective class. They will choose from courses on creative practice techniques, a film series on composers and pianists or a computer theory drill class where they can work on Macintosh computers with music and sight reading software. Other elective classes also are offered.
Faculty members from the Baylor School of Music will perform recitals June 1-2. Baylor keyboard majors will perform on June 3-5. Students will perform Friday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, at 10 a.m. All performances will be held in the Roxy Grove Music Hall and are free and open to the public.
A fee for resident campers will be $275 which covers room and board. The fee for commuters is $150.
