Baylor Senior Picnic Set for May 15

The Baylor University Alumni Association will sponsor a senior picnic at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village on South University Parks Drive.
The Alumni Association will serve hamburgers and all the fixings free of charge to all Baylor May and August graduating seniors. The Alumni Association also will give the seniors free T-shirts. The Student Alumni Board will sponsor an information booth from the chambers of commerce of various cities throughout the country to help those students moving to new areas.
Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. as well as several Baylor vice presidents, coaches and faculty members will attend the event as well as several Baylor vice presidents, coaches and faculty members.
Marc Rylander, coordinator of development and marketing for the Alumni Association, said this picnic will give students one more chance to visit with faculty, administrators and friends before going to careers or graduate school.
"This is one last time for seniors to mingle with their favorite professor or the president and his cabinet," Rylander said. Baylor radio station KWBU will provide a live remote program of the picnic.
