WACO, Texas (Sept. 6, 2016)—Anthony Ogbo, a senior biology major of Houston, Texas, has been awarded the United Parcel Service (UPS) Scholarship provided by the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas (ICUT) Foundation and the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).
“This was a very big deal for me because I had been looking for scholarships in the summer, and being picked as a UPS Scholarship recipient could not have come at a better time. I felt truly honored upon earning this scholarship, and blessings like these only inspire me to work harder toward my education at Baylor and beyond,” said Ogbo.
Ogbo plans on attending medical school after graduation and is currently seeking a research opportunity in biology or biostatistics.
The CIC and the UPS Foundation have teamed up to distribute UPS scholarships nationally. This year, the ICUT Foundation has awarded $101,400 in scholarship aid to 39 students at private institutions throughout Texas.
