WACO, Texas (Aug. 8, 2016) – Baylor University is mourning the passing of student Jared Frame, who died Aug. 4 in Arizona from complications of an unexpected illness.
Jared is survived by his parents, Becky and Darren Frame of Scottsdale, Arizona, and brother, Andrew, all of whom are Baylor graduates. Darren Frame also teaches at Baylor as a clinical assistant professor of management in the Hankamer School of Business.
A celebration of Jared’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Scottsdale Bible Church, 7601 E. Shea Blvd., in Scottsdale, Arizona. For those classmates, friends and colleagues unable to attend, Jared’s service will be streamed at scottsdalebible.com/live.
Jared would have been a junior at Baylor this fall, where he was majoring in management information systems and entrepreneurship.
An entry on a Facebook page created as a Celebration of Jared Frame’s life notes the kind of young man he was: “Jared’s parents and friends will always remember him as a young man of great character, integrity and wisdom beyond his years. He was an excellent student, very athletic and an accomplished high school basketball player. He was very self-assured, while being loving, pleasant and fun to be with.
“Jared loved all things cars, his family and friends, cool athletic shoes, mountain biking, his yellow Labrador, Jovie, the Baylor Bears, and best of all, his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Rosen. He had a very strong faith in his Lord Jesus Christ and was an active member of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, where he served while at Baylor.”
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for Jared be sent to Baylor University, One Bear Place #97026, Waco, TX, 76798-7026, designated for the Jared Frame Endowed Scholarship Fund, or to the American Heart Association in his name.
Please continue to keep the Frame family, as well as the faculty, staff and students who knew Jared, in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
