Baylor to Host High School Juniors April 26

The Baylor University Office of Recruitment and Parents League and Alpha Phi Omega national service fraternity, will host hundreds of high school juniors from across the country Saturday, April 26, during Spring Premiere.
The event allows juniors choosing a college the opportunity to visit the Baylor campus. Students from Arkansas, Oklahoma, California, Louisiana, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas and other states will attend the event.
The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Ferrell Special Events Center with a presentation from Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. followed by a panel discussion with Baylor administrators. A pep rally and a presentation of Baylor's extra curricular activities will begin at 10:15 a.m. at Founder's Mall. After lunch, guests will tour the campus and attend academic sessions with Baylor faculty in the Hankamer School of Business, Cashion and Draper Academic Buildings. The students will see a mini-performance of All-University Sing, a popular musical tradition at Baylor, at 3:30 p.m. in Waco Hall.
Those students or families that arrive in Waco on Friday evening, April 25, may attend an informal mixer at the Burleson Quadrangle on the Baylor campus. Any student considering a college education would benefit from attending Premiere, said Rebecca Draper, co-chair of Premiere.
"Spring Premiere offers prospective students the opportunity to learn more about what sets Baylor apart from other universities," Draper said. "Events such as academic sessions, tours and the activities fair give participants a taste of college life and the chance to talk to Baylor students and ask them questions. It's a fun and informative day for both students and their parents."
