Dr. Gardner Taylor to Speak in Chapel-Forum Monday, April 14

Dr. Gardner Taylor, selected among the 12 most effective preachers in the English-speaking world by Baylor University, will speak Monday, April 14, during Chapel-Forum.
Taylor, senior pastor emeritus of the Concord Baptist Church of Christ in Brooklyn, New York, served as pastor of the church from 1948-1990. The church operates a fully accredited elementary school, 120 bed nursing home, a federal credit union and a million dollar endowment fund for community improvement. Taylor has preached and lectured at churches and seminaries throughout the world as well as served for numerous religious denominations. Time magazine named Taylor the "dean of the nation's black preachers." Ebony magazine named him one of the greatest black preachers in American history.
In February 1996, Baylor named 12 individuals as the most effective preachers in the English-speaking world, according to a worldwide survey. Included in the great preachers list are the Rev. Billy Graham and Dr. Charles Swindoll.
