Baylor University Observes Special Building Hours for Christmas Break

WACO, Texas (Dec. 18, 2015) – In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Baylor University will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1. Administrative offices will have adjusted hours during the break. Classes for the spring semester will begin on Jan. 11.

The following is a list of buildings that will have altered hours during the break.

All residence halls will close at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 16, and reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7.

Penland and East Village dining halls will close at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, and Brooks dining hall will close at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14. Memorial dining hall will remain open until 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7. Penland dining hall will reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, and East Village and Brooks dining halls will reopen at 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11.

The Moody Memorial and Jesse H. Jones Libraries will have varied hours Dec. 16 through Dec. 23 and will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 3. The libraries will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, and will return to normal hours Sunday, Jan. 10.

The McLane Student Life Center will close at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4. The Baylor Health Center will close at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5.

The Bill Daniel Student Center will close at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, and will reopen at 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4.

The Wiethorn Visitors Center will hold its last university tour at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11.

The Baylor Bookstore will be closed from Dec. 24 to Dec. 27 and on Jan. 1.
