Baylor Development Council to Meet March 1

The Baylor University Development Council will hold its spring meeting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, in the Jesse H. Jones Theater in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center on the Baylor campus.
Council members will hear several reports about the university. Dallas businessman W. Leo Parchman Jr., chair of the council, will preside.
Mark Murdock, chair-elect for the Council for Institutional Development, will deliver the invocation and Dr. C. Gwin Morris, associate vice president for university development, will recognize new members.
The highlight of the meeting will be a video presentation on technology at Baylor. The video was produced by Dr. Corey P. Carbonara, associate vice president for technology management, and Dr. Reagan M. Ramsower, associate dean for teaching and administrative systems.
After the video segment, Baylor athletic director Tom Stanton will introduce new head football coach Dave Roberts. Roberts will give a football update and preview.
Dr. Donald D. Schmeltekopf, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will recognize outstanding students and Dr. Richard Scott, vice president for university development, will report on development. To conclude the meeting, President Robert B. Sloan Jr. will deliver his president's report.
The Baylor Development Council is a group of several hundred alumni and friends of the university interested in the growth and development of Baylor. Members from throughout the United States meet once in the fall and spring to consider and advise on all phases of Baylor's development work.
