WACO, Texas (Feb. 16, 2015) – Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work for the NFL?

Marketing and sales executives from the Dallas Cowboys will take part in a Q&A panel discussion at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Kayser Auditorium, located in Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. The event is free and open to the public.

Staci Good McNicholas, Cowboys’ director of marketing; Karl Crudup, senior manager for special events; and Joe Simlar, senior manager for corporate partnerships will speak and take questions from the audience.

“Topics of interest will include how the Cowboys effectively market and position themselves in the DFW area and as America’s Team,” said Kirk Wakefield, Ph.D., the Edwin W. Streetman Professor of Retail Marketing and executive director of Baylor’s Center for Sports Sponsorship and Sales.

“Students will learn what enables the team to retain its position as the NFL’s most valuable franchise (worth over $3 billion, according to Forbes) for eight consecutive years, independent of on-the-field performance.”

The event is sponsored by Baylor’s Sports Sponsorship and Sales (S3) Club. The S3 Club is an organization of students interested in learning more about the business of professional sports. The S3 Club and S3 program focuses on the principles of work ethic, integrity and networking, offering students the opportunity to meet, network and be mentored by executives in professional sports who demonstrate excellent work ethic and integrity.

The Hankamer School of Business is located at 1311 S. 5th Street in Waco.
