Baylor Entrepreneur Students Present, Publish Case Studies

WACO, Texas (Nov.13, 2014) – Three teaching case studies from student teams within Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business were recently accepted for publication after review by the North American Case Research Association (NACRA).
The students were all members of the Business Excellence Scholarship Team (BEST) course and were asked to write a case study, about a real organization or business, which could be integrated into the classroom learning experience.
“I was delighted that all of the cases we submitted were accepted, but I was not surprised,” said Marlene Reed, Ph.D., entrepreneurship-in-residence at the Hankamer School of Business and BEST course professor. “The students worked diligently on their cases and had selected very interesting organizational dilemmas as the decision point in their cases.”
University students worldwide submitted case studies for review, and most of the submitted work was authored by graduate or doctoral level students, Reed said.
“All of our cases were written by undergraduates, so this tells me that our students are talented and can compete with others from all over the world – even doctoral students,” she said.
