Financial Wellness Workshop Offered for Ministers and Seminary Students by Baylor’s Truett Seminary

WACO, Texas (Sept. 24, 2014) — A workshop focusing on financial wellness for ministers and seminary students will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at George W. Truett Theological Seminary, 1100 S. Third St. at Baylor University campus.
The conference is "Compensation Planning: From Start to Finish,” with speakers Frank and Elaine Sommerville, both certified public accountants.
Frank Sommerville, who also is an attorney, assists in legal cases for nonprofit and religious organizations that encompass tax law and employment law, also helping churches prevent litigation. Elaine Sommerville has spent 25 years assisting churches and other nonprofit organizations, focusing on tax compliance.
The event is presented through the Lilly Endowment’s Theological School Initiative to Address Economic Issues Facing Future Ministers.
