Migraine Headaches Subject of Wellness Program Nov. 14

"Understanding Migraine" will be the subject of a luncheon sponsored by the Baylor University Health Education and Wellness Office from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center.
Dr. G. Mark Schwartze, physician for Baylor Health Services, will be the featured speaker. The presentation is provided by the GlaxoWellcome pharmaceutical company of Research Triangle Park, N.C. GlaxoWellcome specializes in headache medicines and presents the migraine program around the country as an educational service.
According to statistics given by GlaxoWellcome, 23 million Americans suffer from migraines. Women make up 75 percent of migraine sufferers, and 70 percent of migraine sufferers have family members who also suffer from migraines.
