Baylor to Host Guitarist Philip Hii Nov. 5

Classical guitarist Philip Hii will perform a dessert theatre at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center at Baylor University.
Hii became well known for his Johann Sebastian Bach transcriptions for guitar. Past performances have included Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, the Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, Variations for Piano op. 27 and Bach's Contrapunctus 1 from Art of Fugue.
Hii also discusses his guitar techniques, such as 3-finger scales and the flow of his music. He has toured throughout the world.
The event is free and open to the public.
