Baylor to Host Heritage Harvest Festival Nov. 2

The Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village of Baylor University will host the fourth annual Heritage Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the historic village located on University Parks Drive across from the Baylor campus.
During the festival, life in the 1890s will be represented. Activities of the presentation will include picking cotton, pecans and grinding corn. Visitors to the festival also will be able to make soap and dolls. Old fashion flyers will be printed and Texas fiddling will be presented by Robyn Hobson of Grandview, accompanied by her parents Jack and Mary also of Grandview.
Other demonstrations will include wall papering, washing clothes, reading, writing and mathematics 19th century style, as well as listen to 19th century politicians.
Activities can be participated in by children and adults.
Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, $1 for students kindergarten through college. Baylor students, faculty and staff enter free with Baylor identification.
