Baylor to Host Bible Conference Oct. 18-19

The Ministry Guidance program of the Department of Religion and the George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University will host the Baylor Bible Conference Oct. 18-19 on the Baylor campus.
The focus of the Bible study sessions will be the book of Ephesians. Featured speakers will be Baylor Regent Rev. Louie B. George, and Baylor religion professors Dr. Bob Patterson and Dr. Charles Talbert.
George, now retired, served as a pastor for 59 years. He retired from the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He holds two degrees from Butler College and has additional studies at Southern Bible School, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Midwestern University.
Patterson has been a part of the Baylor religion faculty since 1961. He teaches in the area of theological studies with a specialization in systematic theology. Talbert, serving at Wake Forest University since 1963, joined the Baylor faculty this year. He teaches in the area of biblical studies with a specialization in New Testament.
Meeting concurrently with the Bible study sessions will be a conference for minister's spouses. The conference will be led by Dr. Glenn Booth, coordinator of the Ministers Counseling Service of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The featured speaker of the conference will be Baylor Alumna Jeanie Miley, an author, conference leader and pastor's wife.
