Baylor's Center for Christian Music Studies Presents 2013 Exemplary Leadership in Church Music Award

The Baylor University Center for Christian Music Studies presented its 2013 Exemplary Leadership in Church Music Award to O. D. Hall, Jr., at a luncheon during the annual Alleluia Conference in Church Music on Thursday, July 25.
Hall, a 1957 Bachelor of Music graduate of Baylor, was presented the award for his work as a local church minister of music, manager of music promotion for Lexicon Music, owner/director of MUSICalifornia, and composer and arranger of church music.
Hall served as minister of music at Curtis Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia; First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, Florida; First Baptist Church, Van Nuys, California; and Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church, Riverside, California.
The Exemplary Leadership in Church Music Award is given annually to a graduate of Baylor University who has contributed uniquely and significantly to some aspect of the broad scope of church music ministry. Previous recipients have included Wesley L. Forbis, Milburn Price, Buryl Red, Billy Ray Hearn, Hal Hopson, Mark Hayes, Joan Sutton, and Sam Prestidge.
