WACO, Texas (Feb. 27, 2013) - Baylor University's Honors College in collaboration with the Center for Catholic-Evangelical Dialogue and the Canada Research Chair for Interpretation, Religion and Culture at Trinity Western University welcome Tracey Rowlan, Ph.D., dean and permanent fellow of John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family in Melbourne, Australia.
Rowlan's lecture, "The Humanism of Incarnation: Catholic, Barthian and Dutch Reformed," will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, March 1 in the Foyer of Meditation located in Armstrong Browning Library, 710 Speight Ave.
The Wilken Colloquium is an annual forum held at Baylor University to host conversation between Catholic and Evangelical scholars. The colloquium aims to foster collegial sharing of wisdom inspired by the model of Robert Louis Wilken's work and interest with particular attention to spiritual interpretation of Scripture.
Rowland holds degrees in law, politics and philosophy from the Universities of Queensland and Melbourne and a doctorate from the Divinity School of the University of Cambridge. She is also a Fellow of the Centre for Theology and Philosophy at the University of Nottingham, an Honorary Fellow of Campion College, Sydney and an Adjunct Professor in the Centre for Faith, Ethics and Society of the University of Notre Dame (Sydney).
