Baylor, Waco and Chamber Sponsor Entrepreneurship Program

Do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur?
Are you interested in starting or expanding a business of your own?
If so, you should consider enrolling in the Entrepreneurial Education Foundation's Premier FastTrac(tm) program for business entrepreneurs.
Premier FastTrac, a national program that has just been launched in Waco, is being co-sponsored by Baylor University, the City of Waco and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. Together these sponsors will provide the "brains for business" to Waco entrepreneurs in search of the American dream.
"This is the first time that educators, community leaders and entrepreneurs are coming together to present a proven program to Waco entrepreneurs," said Dr. Nancy Upton, director of the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship.
The FastTrac program has two tracks, FastTrac I for aspiring entrepreneurs and FastTrac II for practicing entrepreneurs and small business owners. Both programs are comprehensive, dynamic, and proven effective in aiding the entrepreneur with operational, marketing and business plans. Completion of the program also will result in 3.2 CEU (continuing education) credits for FastTrac I and 4.5 CEU credits for FastTrac II.
Classes will meet at the Waco Convention Center, and each track will be led by a trained instructor. Additional information and instruction will be provided by successful area business counselors, guest lecturers and mentors.
FastTrac I begins Sept. 17 and is a nine-week session that meets 6 - 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. FastTrac II begins Sept. 19 and is an 11-week session that meets 6 - 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
Enrollment in the FastTrac program is limited to 30 participants in each track, and admission will be handled by the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship at Baylor's Hankamer School of Business.

All interested parties are encouraged to apply early. Applications are available at the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Heart of Texas Black Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center, and The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship at Baylor.
Cost for the program, which is non-refundable and includes all books and materials, is $350 for FastTrac I participants and $700 for FastTrac II materials.
