Baylor University's Institute for Family Business will present a reception and mixer, the fifth program in its 1996 Waco Family Business Seminar Series from 5:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, at the Harrington House Faculty Dining Center on South Eighth Street.
The reception, which includes refreshments and a program of music by a string quartet, will give family business owners an opportunity to relax, said Bob Hughes, program director of the Institute for Family Business. Videotapes of earlier programs in the Waco seminar series will be shown during the evening and Hughes urged those attending to bring suggested program topics for the 1997 seminar series. "The person bringing the most program suggestions will receive a free one-year membership for the Waco Family Business Seminar Series," he said.
The 1996 Waco Family Business Seminar Series was planned by the Institute for Family Business specifically for family-owned firms in the Waco area. The Institute for Family Business is a nationally-recognized organization that provides educational programs for family-owned businesses throughout the state.
"The general theme of all our programs is helping family-owned businesses achieve healthy, sustainable growth," said Hughes.
