Baylor's Institute for Studies of Religion will host "Faith and Public Life: Pride, Humility, and the Grace That Binds Them" with speaker Timothy Goeglein at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 26, in Kayser Auditorium of the Hankamer School of Business, 1428 S. Fifth St.
Goeglein, spent nearly eight years in the White House as President George W. Bush's key point of contact to American conservatives and the faith-based world. However, after being discovered to have plagiarized several of his opinion columns, Goeglin resigned from his post. He was quickly forgiven by President Bush and soon took a position as the vice president of external relations for Focus on the Family.
The lecture will focus on Goeglein's book "The Man in the Middle," which documents Goeglein's insider experiences and why he believes President Bush's decisions were made for the greater good and set examples for the future.
The event is free and open to the public, but those interested in attending are asked to register here.
