Baylor Air Force Rotc to Commission Cadet Officers May 11

The Baylor University Air Force ROTC will commission six Reserve Officer Training Corps. Cadets at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center.
The officer cadets who are all graduating in May are Barry W. Couch from Tyler, who is assigned to Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi; Donna M. Sikora from Sherman, who is assigned to Vandenberg Air Force Base in California; Jennifer L. Ward from Henderson, Nev., who is assigned to Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo; Ryan Brady from Kingwood, who is assigned to Buckley Air National Guard Base in Colorado; Nathan L. Kowalski from Westminister, Colo., who is assigned to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma; and Alanna L. Mabus from Jefferson, Texas, who is assigned to Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
Capt. John Bennett, executive officer for the Baylor ROTC, said these officers should go on to great heights in their military careers.
"These cadets are some of the finest we have produced at Baylor and I have high expectations for each and every one of them," he said. "The future of the U.S. Air Force rests on newly commissioned officers such as these. I know they are ready and capable to assume the reins of leadership in the best Air Force in the world."
The officer cadets will report to their various assignments within 60 days and will spend approximately two to four years at their various assignments.
