Baylor Again Leads State in Passing Bar Exam

WACO, Texas - Baylor University law students have again led the state of Texas in the passing percentage of the Texas State Bar Exam.
Baylor School of Law had a 94.6 percent passing rate, topping the other eight law schools in the state for the bar exam taken in February of this year. The bar exam is given twice each year. Baylor has placed first 19 of 26 times since 1983, when the Board of Law Examiners first decided to make the results public. The overall pass rate on the February exam was 77.9 percent.
Dean Brad Toben, the Gov. Bill and Vara Faye Daniel Professor of Law, said, "We are pleased and proud." He said the first-place result again underscores the team effort of "a law faculty that always goes the extra mile for our very talented students, and a university administration that is very highly supportive of the Law School."
