April 11, 1996

Two-time Gospel Grammy Award Nominee, Wintley Phipps, will perform during Baylor University's Chapel-Forum at 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, in Waco Hall.
This will be Phipps' third performance at Baylor. He also performed during Baylor's Sesquicentennial Gala in August 1994 and the Sesquicentennial Celebration musical in January 1995.
According to Phipps, the purpose of his music "is to glorify God" and he hopes that "when people listen to my music they sense a life that is committed."
Phipps has performed world-wide and has appeared at several National Democratic Conventions, the Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Television Special, and The Billy Graham Crusades.
