University Worship Service Slated for Friday

Baylor University will hold its monthly "First Friday" University Worship Service at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, at Seventh and James Baptist Church.
University Chaplain Bill Austin will deliver the sermon entitled, "A Quiet and Ultimate Greatness." Austin has served as university chaplain since January 1990.
In addition to his service as a minister, Austin is an accomplished author, teacher and speaker. He has written 12 books including Topical History of Christianity and How to Get What You Pray For. Austin has been a member of the religion faculty at Hardin-Simmons University and held various positions with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
He received a bachelor of science degree in religious education from Hardin-Simmons University and master of arts and doctor of philosophy degrees in theology from Baylor.
The "First Friday" worship services have been a Baylor tradition since 1994. They take place on the first Friday of each month during the school year at Seventh and James. Attendance averages about 100 persons, half of whom are students.
