Diadeloso, Spanish for "Day of the Bear," is a campus recreation day for students and faculty, with no classes scheduled.
The celebration will begin with a concert from 8 p.m. to midnight Wednesday, April 17, at the Waco suspension bridge. The band The Pictures will perform. A free all-university dance and block party will take place that evening from 8 p.m. to midnight on Fifth Street on the Baylor campus. The dance, titled "A Miracle on Fifth Street," will be the first on-campus dance in the school's 151-year history.
Additional activities include a volleyball tournament, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, taboo, doubles tennis, tug of war, golf, an ultimate Frisbee contest, racquetball, pool, sailboating, and paintball. Most activities will be held at Baylor's intramural field, located at Bagby Avenue and University Parks Drive.
