IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT I-35 CONSTRUCTION***
**Check out the links below to Helpful Information Tools as well as the latest construction news from TxDOT.**
In May 2019, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began a major four-year reconstruction project on a 6-mile stretch of Interstate 35 from North Loop 340 to 12th Street, which will have a significant impact on the City of Waco and Baylor University for the duration of the project.
During the ongoing construction, be patient, alert and resilient, plan for additional travel time to campus and “Know Before You Go” by checking real-time traffic conditions at www.waco4bmap.org.
If you are walking or biking to and from Baylor and the downtown side of I-35, use the crosswalks under 4th/5th Streets or University Parks Drive. Please be aware that this access is in an active construction zone, so be alert and mindful of drivers when walking or biking through that area. *Do not attempt to cross the interstate on foot.*
