Professional Development for Edcuators

Baylor University's Mayborn Museum has been approved as a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider in Texas through Texas Education Agency (TEA)

We are excited to offer the following opportunities in 2017:



Land and Its Legacy in Texas History:
Wednesday, October 4
8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Land and Its Legacy in Texas History:
$20 fee includes supplies and lunch.

Buck Cole, Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Texas General Land Office, will provide a teacher folder for each participant including brochures, lessons, copies of original primary source documents, a flash drive of Texas GLO documents, maps, useful images, and practical literary strategies to use in the classroom.

Saturday, November 4
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Makey Makey:
$35 fee includes Makey Makey kit and lunch.

Join the Mayborn Museum’s Makey Makey education team for a fun hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to teach Invention Literacy, Making, and Design Thinking using the award winning Makey Makey invention kit.
