Introducing the Backyard Ecology Hall coming to the Jeanes Discovery Center at the Mayborn Museum Complex! Your support is vital to a transformation of some of our well-loved discovery rooms. This new gallery will continue to provide the hands-on learning experiences that are integral to the Mayborn while also highlighting the local Central Texas ecosystems and making strong, exciting connections to current Baylor University research.
This project is dependent upon donations from our loyal constituents, members, and friends. Help us engage our community and inspire life-long learning!

Your generous financial support is critical for the Mayborn Museum to accomplish its mission to encourage diverse audiences to explore their surroundings and discover their connection to the broader world. Your giving spirit results in additional facilities and exhibit upgrades, and enhances educational resources and services. Every gift, of any amount, makes a difference in the lives of Museum visitors, students, and your own family.
All potential donations are reviewed by the Mayborn Museum Complex Collection Committee. In order to be accepted as part of the Permanent Collection, an object or specimen must fit within the scope of the museum’s collecting mission which focuses on the natural and cultural history of central Texas prior to 1915 and the history of Baylor University. Objects may also be accepted as part of the Teaching Collection or as props for use in programming, discovery rooms, or the Governor Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village.
Contact the Director of the Museum, Charles Walter, if you would like more information about giving opportunities.
