Chani Jones earned a M.A. in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University as well as a B.A. in Classics and a B.A. in Art History from Grand Valley State University.
A native of Michigan, she worked in collections management at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and the Grand Valley State University Art Gallery. At Eastern Illinois University, she served as Assistant Registrar and Exhibitions Designer in the Tarble Arts Center. There, she co-curated the exhibition Making Illinois, facilitated museum loans, designed exhibitions featuring local, national, and international artists, served as a preparator, and assisted in the fabrication of a large-scale outdoor sculpture installation and construction of a new gallery space. Before coming to Baylor University, she also worked as an elementary art teacher.
