Baylor Art Student Exhibition Information

COVID-19 UPDATE

The Martin Museum of Art, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and in response to students transitioning to online learning, has made the decision to alter the Baylor Art Student Exhibition this year.

We will host a virtual exhibition of accepted work on our website. Students will receive notification of acceptance/rejection. Those notification emails will contain specific information related to the exhibition.

It is our hope to hang a physical representation of the exhibition once students return to campus. We will plan for that accordingly.

What's Different in 2020?

This year, all entries for the Baylor Art Student Exhibition will be submitted digitally. No artwork will be delivered to the Museum until the Juror has selected which works will be included in the exhibition. Students who plan to enter will need to photograph their artwork in advance. Students may do this on their own, or attend one of the Student Photography Workshops hosted by the Museum throughout the year. The juror will review all of the digital submissions to determine which artworks will be included in the exhibition. Students will be notified if any of their entries have been accepted into the exhibition, and will be given time to prepare their work for professional display, before dropping it off to the Museum. The Juror will select award-winners in person, and will attend the opening reception to present awards.

Eligibility

Currently enrolled students at Baylor may submit up to four artworks which were produced within the context of Baylor's studio art courses beginning in March 2019 through March 2020.

Artwork previously submitted or exhibited in the Art Student Juried Exhibition is NOT eligible for submission.

Artworks by students who have graduated prior to Spring 2020 are NOT eligible.
