"So I was doing an internship in El Paso, First Baptist Church, and my mentor, the guy I was doing an internship under, he was a Truett alum. After my internship was over and I was starting to look into seminaries, he was like, 'Hey, you should check out Truett Seminary. It's a great place.' And he wasn't the only Truett alum that I had come in contact with during my time doing an internship.

"One of the things that really called my attention to Truett, was I thought to myself, if these are the kind of ministers that are coming out of this seminary -- these ministers that I look up to and I want to be like one day -- then this must be a really good place.

"At Preview, the decision was solidified. I'm like, 'This is where I'm supposed to be,' because I just felt welcome, and I felt like it was a family. Community is really important to me, and that's one of the things that really stood out from Truett, compared to other seminaries that I visited."
