"My organization's advisor, Lizzy Davis, is such a light in my life, and I love her so much. Freshman year, we had to take this course to help you assimilate to Baylor -- which I recommend to every Baylor freshman -- and she was my teacher for that. We just stayed in touch ever since. She’s been my friend, my mentor, my counselor, my sponsor, everything you can imagine. She’s the reason I’m here today and my mental sanity is what it is, because I honestly don’t know where I’d be without her. For sure, she is a light in my life, an amazing individual.

"I met her the first day of class, she brought us all food, donuts and coffee or something. She let us talk about us -- our year, our name, our major, and one fun fact about you. ... She was so interested in my life and everything about it. You could tell she was so genuine about caring for me and making sure I had a great freshman year. Now, we have check-ins once in a while and we talk about everything -- school, friends, family, how I’m doing mentally, how I’m doing socially, academically, how my classes are going. Every single year she teaches me and checks in. It’s so broad, we cover so many topics. She’s great!"
