Dr. John Solis is a Senior Instructional Designer at Baylor University. He has been teaching in higher education for over 20 years through a number of teaching roles including a tenure-track assistant professor, assistantships, and lectureships. John has taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses in face-to-face, hybrid/blended, and fully online formats in the areas of instructional design, distance education, multimedia production, introductory computing concepts and computer literacy, graduate-level writing, and research methods. Prior to joining Baylor in 2014, John had active K-12 technology integration leadership roles working directly with in-service teachers in school districts and through university/K12 partnerships. Outside of academia, John enjoys spending time with his family, going to church, visiting Disney World and Universal Studios, fishing, and is an avid video gamer. He also enjoys watching mixed martial arts, San Antonio Spurs basketball games, the Dallas Cowboys, and Baylor and UT Longhorns football games.
