Experience
John has been an executive staff member at Baylor University since 2002. He is currently serving as Associate Director of Learning Systems where he leads a team of highly-skilled professionals providing system administration for enterprise academic systems including Baylor’s learning management systems and web-conferencing systems.
During his years at Baylor, he has developed expertise in managing enterprise academic systems and technology services in higher education. His technical skills include system administration, managing cloud applications, load balancing, performance monitoring, and hardware scaling. His interests include new media tools, communication, project management, leadership, and discovering new resources to fill academic technology needs.
Outside of Baylor, John volunteers his time in service to the community through Baylor Staff Council, Waco Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission, and Waco Transit Advisory Board. He attends First Baptist Church of Waco where he has served on Church Council and is on the Technology Team. John was honored to receive the Outstanding Staff Award from Baylor in 2015.
